Meet 21-year-old Gerald Francisco Laboriel and 23-year-old Kenny B. Adams.
This duo thought they’d committed the perfect robbery…And was lovin’ it.
These two claimed someone took $8000 in night deposits at a Port Charlotte bank.
Detectives state that they received a call Wednesday at 6:25pm from a Florida Community Bank, 1255 Tamiami Trail. Upon arrival, they were met by Laboriel and Adams. Both reported being victims of an armed robbery by an unknown black male wearing a hoodie to conceal his identity. Laboriel, a shift manager at a local McDonalds, and Adams an employee, who was not working that day, picked up Laboriel at the end of his shift and drove him to drop off the night deposit bag.
Adams said he stayed in the car while Laboriel walked to the night deposit box. Laboriel said an unknown man came up behind him and took the bag with force, snatching it from his hand.
Needless to say, the detectives thought that the st0ry seemed fishy because their stories were a little inconsistent and they decided to take them to the station for more questioning. After more questioning, they finally admitted that they staged the robbery so they could keep the deposit money.
They were then both taken to Charlotte County Jail.
Ronald would be very disappointed in these two.
