This story will have you thinking that Macon, Georgia, must be the home of the gunslinging elderly.
Linda Hunnicutt, 65, a homemaker who lives a few miles away from her local gas station along busy Gray Highway in Macon, had just pulled into the station shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Hunnicutt drove into the gas pump bay, were she accidentally bumped into Frank Louis Reeves, 73, in his motorized wheelchair.
As she stepped out of her car, Reeves shot her once in the chest with a .38 caliber handgun.
The confrontation was so brief that many of the people who were pumping gas at the time were unaware of what was transpiring at that specific end of the lot.
When police arrived, Hunnicutt was in cardiac arrest and officers begin performing CPR. She was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia, where the trauma team pronounce her dead at 1:25pm, less than half an hour after the shooting.
The suspect was apprehended in the gas station parking lot.
Reeves and his wheelchair were taken to the Bibb County Jail, where he is now being charged with murder.
Reeves gave a statement to detectives, but the authorities are not revealing what was said.
Hunnicutt is married, and her husband was on the road for his job with a dental lab company when the shooting happened.
I would’ve never imagined that there were HooverRound Gangstas terrorizing neighborhoods!
This old man needs to just call it a day…And say hello to Bibb County Jail Retirement Home….
I wonder what was he thinking…
Was he scared…
Or just a murderer?
Rest In Paradise Mrs Hunnicutt…
