Meet Cassidy Goodson. A young, pretty, 14 year-old from Greenbrier Village in Polk County, Florida.
And also…A baby killer.
Cassidy was alone in the family bathroom when she delivered the baby. She hid her cries of pain by running the water and clinching a towel between her teeth. After she pried the 95lb baby boy out of her with a pair of scissors, Cassidy cut the baby’s umbilical cord and the proceeded to strangle the baby. After she was sure the baby was dead, she put her baby in a shoe box and hid the baby in the dirty laundry.
About three days later, Cassidy’s mom, Teresa Goodson was cleaning her daughter’s room when she noticed a putrid odor rising from her daughter’s wet and dirty laundry.
Once the clothing was sorted, the deceased infant was discovered.
During her pregnancy, Cassidy wore baggy shirts and sweatpants to disguise her pregnancy. Though many family members grew suspicious, her mother Teresa claims that her daughter recently took two pregnancy test with negative results.
But these test were taken in the privacy of the bathroom.
The day of the delivery, after she left the bathroom, her mother noticed blood in the toilet. Out of concern, she rushed her daughter to the hospital. The medical staff treating Cassidy told Mrs Goodson that her daughter suffered a miscarriage and showed four to five cuts on her vaginal wall.
Later on, after the discovery of the deceased baby a few days later, the teen admitted that she suffered the lacerations after digging the baby out of her body and that she strangled the baby to ‘stop him from breathing’.
She claimed that she was fearful that if her parents knew she was pregnant, their relationship would change.
I’m quite sure that the death of a grandchild will surely change their relationship.
